Summary

Mack Products Assembler is a person who is proficient in sheet metal fabrication and possible experience in auto body. They are responsible for the daily duties in the assembly of production orders received for the antique truck parts that are sold by Mack Hils Metal Fabrication. Orders consisting of classic, custom, antique or hot rod truck beds for various makes and models of trucks.

 

Essential Functions

  • Perform operations using the following equipment:
    • Mig/Tig Welding, Drill Press, Chop Saw, Air Riveter, Puncher, Hand Brakes, Hand Tools, Press Brake, Spot Welder, Shear, Grinders, Plasma Cutting Torch, Forklift and Pallet Jack
  • Build / assemble / repair parts per work orders
  • Ensures shop cleanliness in work area

 

Required Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, and individual must be ale to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required:

  • Read blueprints and job packets
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, MSDS Sheets, and job procedures
  • Safely operate all equipment used in the Products Department
  • Follow oral and written instructions

Physical Demands

  • Required to stand, walk, use hands and arms to operate equipment
  • Talk and hear
  • Perform motions including bending, twisting, pushing and pulling
  • Regularly required to lift, push or pull weight and/or carry objects weighing 5-50 pounds
